Peer Review Process

All manuscripts submitted to Academic Insight Journal of Multimedia & Information Engineering (AIJMIE) undergo a rigorous peer review process to ensure academic quality and relevance. The process follows a double-blind model, in which both authors and reviewers remain anonymous to each other.

Review Stages:

  1. Initial Screening: The editorial team checks the submission for scope, formatting, and plagiarism using standard tools (e.g., Turnitin or iThenticate).
  2. Editorial Review: Suitable manuscripts are forwarded to the Editor-in-Chief or Section Editors for initial evaluation of scientific merit and originality.
  3. Peer Review: Submissions passing the editorial stage are reviewed by at least two independent reviewers with expertise in the relevant field.
  4. Decision: Based on reviewer feedback, the editor issues one of the following decisions: Accept, Minor Revisions, Major Revisions, or Reject.
  5. Revisions: Authors are expected to revise and resubmit within the given timeframe. Revised manuscripts may undergo another round of review if necessary.
  6. Final Decision: Once all revisions are approved, the article is accepted for publication and moves to copyediting and production.

Use of AI in the Review Process:

While AI tools may be used to assist in checking language quality, formatting, or plagiarism detection, all critical decisions in the peer review process are made by human editors and reviewers to uphold academic integrity.

This process typically takes 4–8 weeks depending on reviewer availability and revision cycles. Authors can track the status of their submission through their account dashboard.
